$1,500.00 scholarships are awarded to a graduating senior from each Maine high school. The scholarships are disbursed in the third semester of college study. Chosen by the high school principal, the student must meet established criteria and face significant challenges in the pursuit of college.
$1.87 million in scholarships have been awarded since 2001 – 114 scholarships in 2001, 145 in 2002, 144 in 2003, 142 in 2004, 136 in 2005, 140 in 2006, 149 in 2007, 143 in 2008, 142 in 2009, 146 in 2010, 146 in 2011, and 141 in 2012.
